Ivo Roupa
Biography
Ivo Roupa holds a Sports Science degree from the University of Lisbon, a master’s degree in Youth Training from Lusófona University, and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Lisbon. Throughout his doctoral studies, he concentrated on developing a computational framework for human motion analysis. This research led to the publication of multiple papers in Q1 and Q2 scientific journals, including Pattern Recognition, Mechanism and Machine Theory, and Archives of Computational Methods in Engineering. Additionally, Ivo Roupa actively contributed to three funded research projects during this period.
Currently, within the Interactive Technologie Institute, Ivo Roupa is a post-doctoral researcher for the eGamesLab Project. He focuses on investigating the utilization of extended reality (XR) to optimize human performance in sports activities, whether for training purposes or for promoting health.
