Valentina Nisi
Biography
Valentina Nisi is a full Professor in Design Thinking at IST, U. of Lisbon (Portugal), Adjunct Faculty at the HCI Institute, Carnegie Mellon University (USA) and Founding Researcher and Board Member at the Interactive Technologies Institute (ITI LARSyS). Her research encompasses Interactive Digital Storytelling, Gaming, and HCI, through post-human lenses. Spanning from Fine Arts to Storytelling and HCI, Valentina’s background contributes to an interdisciplinary view that combines a Research-through-Design approach with post-humanistic concerns. Her research efforts have been awarded support from regional (RAM: Região Autónoma da Madeira), national (FCT: Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia) and international (HE: Horizon Europe) funding programs.
