Invited Talk by Krzysztof Grudzień

On Wednesday, June 28, 2023, the Interactive Technologies Institute at the Hub Criativo do Beato had the privilege of hosting an esteemed guest, Associate Professor Krzysztof Grudzień from the Institute of Applied Computer Science at Lodz University of Technology (TUL) in Poland. The talk, which drew a diverse audience of researchers, students, and industry professionals, shed light on Grudzień’s fascinating work in the fields of data acquisition, processing and analysis algorithms, as well as human-computer interaction research.

For over two decades, Grudzień has dedicated himself to pushing the boundaries of Technical Information Technology and Telecommunications. His research focuses on non-invasive measurement and diagnostics of industrial processes, with a particular emphasis on data acquisition, processing, and analysis algorithms. His expertise lies in developing functional prototypes for human-computer interaction research, including wearable devices, and exploring solutions for processing tomographic data in industrial systems.

Throughout his distinguished career, Grudzień has made significant contributions to his field. He has authored and co-authored over 120 scientific publications, which have garnered international recognition. Additionally, he has been involved in numerous research projects funded by prestigious organizations such as the National Science Centre, the National Centre for Research and Development, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the European Union (FP7), and the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Grudzień’s talk at the Interactive Technologies Institute provided an overview of his recent research findings and highlighted the advancements in interactive technologies that he and his team have been working on. His expertise in developing algorithms for non-invasive measurement and diagnostics resonated with the audience, given the increasing demand for innovative solutions in various industrial sectors.
