ITI welcomed Azerbaijani researchers

The Interactive Technologies Institute (ITI) welcomed a delegation of Azerbaijani researchers to its facilities as part of the Erasmus+ ENGAGE project. The visit, which took place on October 24, showcased the innovative projects and accomplishments that have propelled ITI to success. The ITI President shared insights into the institute’s innovative initiatives and the pivotal role they play in promoting entrepreneurship in higher education institutions.

The Erasmus+ ENGAGE project, “Enhancing sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem in Higher Education Institutions of Azerbaijan,” is a remarkable endeavour led by Mingachevir State University (MSU) and funded by the European Commission. This project marks a significant achievement as MSU is the first regional university in Azerbaijan to secure the role of project coordinator. It aims to foster a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem in Azerbaijani higher education institutions, nurture the entrepreneurial mindset among academic staff and students, and promote innovation.

The project’s comprehensive action plan includes generating innovative ideas within higher education institutions, enhancing the practical content of the education process, expanding startup activities, and fostering collaboration between universities and industries. To achieve these goals, the project will draw from the best practices of partner universities from EU countries, offer training to staff members in Azerbaijani higher education institutions participating in the project, and implement a series of transformative measures over 36 months, with an initial budget of €800,000.
