Biography

Adrian holds a degree as Engineer in Nanotechnology from the Yachay Tech University in Ecuador and a Master in Electronics and Automation from the University of Tours in France. Currently is a PhD student at Tecnico Lisboa in the field of Computer Science and Engineering.

His research covers brain computer interfaces for controlling external devices such as wheelchair or exoskeletons. More specifically, he is working on a pipeline that allows a faster learning process for mind control but also contributes to user’s mental health and wellbeing. Some of his activities concern virtual environments development on VR and screen-based, EEG signal acquisition, machine learning and deep learning, among others.
