Ana Cristina Gama Saial
Biography
Ana Cristina Saial has a degree in Psychology from the University of Évora and a Master’s in Educational Psychology from the University of Madeira. She is a PhD student in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Coimbra and a researcher at the Interactive Technologies Institute on the eGames Lab project. Her research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), mainly addressing the area of violence in intimate relationships. In her master’s research, she addressed the relationship between cyber abuse and the use of the Internet in intimate relationships. Part of her current work is specifically dedicated to the area of dating violence, from adolescence to emerging adulthood, through the development of interactive platforms with gamified resources, which promote the increase in literacy and the acquisition of pro-social skills and emotional regulation in young people. Her main research interests are health, well-being, and inclusion.
