Biography

Bruna Raquel Gouveia (BRG) is an Adjunct Professor at the Saint Joseph of Cluny Higher School of Nursing, where she coordinates the Master\’s Program in Rehabilitation Nursing. She is a researcher at ITI – LARSyS and CIGEV – Geneva University and a full European Academy of Nursing Sciences member. She has been the Deputy Director of Health of the Autonomous Region of Madeira since 2020. She coordinates the Department of Strategic Planning and Global Health, supporting the design, coordination, and implementation of the region\’s health politics. Her research has focused on studying human development and ageing and evaluating complex interventions in rehabilitation and health. Currently, BRG is working in epidemiological research and developing and using innovative technologies for health. One example is using smart information systems for the epidemiological surveillance of COVID-19 in Madeira.
