Biography

Daniel Vintém (he/him) is a Master’s student in Multimedia Art at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon, and holds a BA in Photography from the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar. His professional background as a photo-digital technician assistant in advertising and as a darkroom lab instructor informs his working methods and brings a hands-on dimension to his workshops and creative projects. At the Interactive Technologies Institute, Daniel conducts practice-based artistic research on the representation of the Face within selfie-based digital interfaces. By working across photography, software simulation, and analog processes, he explores the disconnection between inner experience and outer image, creating an opening to reflect on digital materiality.
