Biography

Diana Moniz is currently a Master’s student of Computer Science and Engineering at Instituto Superior Tecnico, specializing in Cybersecurity and Distributed Systems. She has a Bachelor’s degree in the same field and from the same institution.
In her final year, Diana has focused her research on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Human-Data Interaction (HDI). Her master thesis, titled “Rethinking Privacy and Data-Interactions in Reproductive Health applications,” aims to empower users through increased control over their intimate data and their privacy. This thesis is supervised and guided by professor Teresa Almeida, who is also a member of the Interactive Technologies Institute, and much of her research focuses on Design & Care for women’s health and experience.
