Eduardo Gomes
Biography
Eduardo Gomes holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Informatics Engineering from the University of Madeira. He is a PhD candidate in Computer Science and Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico, supported by the Interactive Technologies Institute and INESC-ID.
His PhD work focuses on applying Machine Learning methods in the Energy sector. His research specifically delves into managing resources, energy trading, and scheduling for Energy Communities using Reinforcement Learning and classical optimisation methods. Eduardo’s goal during his PhD is to develop more sustainable alternatives to the management of assets and promote the use of greener technologies by facilitating their integration with daily life.
