Biography

Francisco Maria Calisto holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. Currently completing his Ph.D. in the intersection of HCI and AI in medical imaging. Previously, he was a visiting scholar at HCII @ CMU, where he further enriched his academic experience.

His research focuses on applying intelligent agents and personalization techniques in medical imaging. Francisco aims to develop adaptive agents that provide personalized recommendations to clinicians, improving medical decision-making. His work advances user-centric technologies, tailoring intelligent systems to individual needs and preferences.
