Biography

Francisco Pinto (he/him) holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, where he is currently completing his Master’s degree in the same field. Alongside his academic progression, he actively contributes to the academic community through research and applied project development at the Interactive Technologies Institute (ITI).

His research at ITI focuses on human-computer interaction and data visualization applied to cultural heritage and culinary history. He is currently leading the development of his master’s thesis project, “Visualising Local Food Traditions and Culinary Ancestry,” which creates interactive visual interfaces to preserve, map, and explore intangible food traditions and heritage.
