Biography

Gil Arroteia earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from FCT NOVA (Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa) and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in the same field at IST (Instituto Superior Técnico da Universidade de Lisboa), specializing in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Alongside his academic path, he is the co-founder and COO of Fraqtory, a software house focused on developing innovative digital solutions.

At ITI, Gil develops work in the field of micro computer vision applications within XR environments, with a focus on exploring new approaches for intelligent interaction and perception in immersive systems. His research aims to contribute to the advancement of human-computer interaction by enabling more seamless and responsive experiences in extended reality contexts.
