Biography

Herbert Amezquita holds a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes, Bogota, Colombia, and an MSc. in Energy Engineering and Management (with a specialisation in Renewable Energy) from Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisboa, Portugal.

He is a researcher at Interactive Technologies Institute, focusing on renewable energies, data science and forecasting of power production and consumption. He is currently part of project ALAMO, which aims to develop accurate forecasting algorithms using Federated Learning, quantifying epistemic and aleatoric uncertainty.
