Biography

Inês Marques Lúcio holds an Undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, and is finishing a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering at the same university.
She is interested in investigating knowledge maps across diverse interactive media, particularly as impactful educational tools in anatomy learning, supervised by Prof. Daniel Simões Lopes from ITI and Prof. Renata Raidou from TU Wien. Her thesis, “Anatomy Maps: Graph-Inspired Educational Tools to Teach and Learn Anatomy”, aims to provide students with innovative solutions that leverage abstract map-based representations of knowledge and Extended Reality systems for a more immersive and compelling understanding of anatomy.
