Biography

Inês Oliveira is a graduate of Instituto Superior Técnico, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in the same field, with a particular emphasis on Games, Interaction & Visualization.

As part of her postgraduate studies, Inês is collaborating with Teresa Almeida from the Interactive Technologies Institute and Kevin Gallagher from NOVA School of Science and Technology | FCT NOVA on her thesis project titled “Queering Intimate Data: Enquiring Privacy and Security in Intimate Health Technologies and the LGBTQIA+ Community in Portugal”. In this project, the focus is on a specific underserved and marginalized community, the LGBTQIA+, to explore the engagement with health technologies in relation to privacy and security.
