Biography

Joana Pestana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design from the Universidade do Porto and a Master in Visual Communication from the Royal College of Art.

She is a PhD candidate in the doctoral program in Digital Media and an assistant teacher at Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto, where she contributes to practice-based subjects related with new literacies, media and design. At ITI she is a researcher at Blockchain.PT project, experimenting and exploring design experiences of mediation for human-non-human dialogues and decentralised processes of decision-making.
