Laís Lopes
Biography
Laís dos Santos Lopes graduated from the University of Madeira with a Bachelor’s degree in Design and a Master’s in Interactive Media Design. She is a PhD candidate in Informatics Engineering and works as a researcher at the Interactive Technologies Institute.
With a design-led practice and a lasting interest in creating meaningful interactions, Laís’ work focuses on subtle assistive interfaces for mental health. Her current research on tangible artefacts explores innovative approaches to mitigate stress among knowledge workers through the development and customisation of ubiquitous tangible interfaces, aiming to deliver just-in-time, unobtrusive interventions that enable workers to manage their stress levels below the threshold of conscious perception.
