Biography

Laís dos Santos Lopes graduated from the University of Madeira with a Bachelor’s degree in Design and a Master’s degree in Interactive Media Design. She is a PhD candidate in Informatics Engineering, currently working as a researcher at Interactive Technologies Institute.

While her previous work focused on assistive interfaces for mental health and well-being, Laís’ creative background and enduring interest in designing meaningful interactions led her to work on the eGames Lab project. Her current research on authoring tools for interactive storytelling in video games aims to better understand and support creators of interactive narratives through the development of tools that can facilitate their creative work process.
