Lam Duy Pham
Biography
Lam Pham (he/him) is a native Texan and received his BA in English at the University of California, Los Angeles. He earned his Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at the University of Wyoming. He is a Pushcart-nominated author and his fiction has been featured in various publications. In addition to his experience teaching college-level courses in composition and research methodologies, he has held a variety of positions as an editor, copywriter, and content specialist outside of academia. He is currently a doctoral student in Planetary Health Studies at the University of Lisbon.
Lam’s current research investigates the use of narrative frameworks in science communication and climate education. He is currently partnering with the National Museum of Natural History and Science to cocreate an exhibition with multimedia students that promotes ecological waste management, including electronic waste and textiles. Lam hopes to center the local community’s needs in the design process through a series of public-facing events, and produce an exhibition that encourages pro-environmental behavior through immersive multimedia storytelling.
