Maria Vitória Vieira Capote

Biography

Maria Vitória is a museologist and PhD candidate in Architecture at IST. She holds a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), where she also completed a Bachelor’s degree in Museology, as well as an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree in Architecture, Landscape and Archaeology, funded by an Erasmus+ scholarship. Her professional experience includes internships at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, the Archaeological Museum of Piraeus, and the Museu Victor Meirelles. She is currently undertaking her doctoral research, “Networking Architecture: Bridging Physical and Digital Spaces in Architecture Museums and Centres,” at the Interactive Technologies Institute (ITI), the Instituto de História da Arte (IHA) – Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, and the Associação Casa da Arquitectura (ACA), with funding from the FCT (Reference: 2025.09453.PRT).
