Biography

Nicollas Nogueira is a BSc student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Instituto Superior Tecnico, University of Lisbon. In the summer of 2025, he contributed to a research project at ITI/LARSyS focused on applying large language models (LLMs) in the context of energy communities, where he also supported the integration of the work into a multi-platform software architecture. This included adapting a Unity-based application for cross-platform delivery (web and desktop), refactoring the codebase, developing a supporting API, containerizing services with Docker, and deploying them on a server environment.

In December 2025, he joined SENCY, where he is currently focused on updating and integrating sensor infrastructure for energy and water monitoring, including the underlying data communication and storage workflows. Over the longer term, his work will also contribute to assessing the integration of industrial kitchens within energy communities, supporting studies on viability and enabling conditions.
