Biography

Pedro Sanches is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Informatics, Umeå University in Sweden. He received his Ph.D. in Information and Communication Technology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden.

His research draws from interaction design, STS, and critical data studies to use data as design material in interactive applications. He applies speculative and somaesthetic design tactics to critically probe the space of data-driven futures in domains such as digital health, cultural heritage, and performing arts.
