Biography

Yassir Mahomed Yassin was born and raised in Mozambique. He moved to Portugal to pursue a degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico. Now with a bachelor’s degree and nearing the completion of his master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering, with a focus on Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, also at Instituto Superior Técnico.

He is researching and developing his master’s thesis at the Interactive Technologies Institute, addressing the topic “Using ChatGPT in Enhancing Storytelling and Data Humanization for Climate Change,” guided by his supervisor, Nuno Nunes, and co-supervisor, Marta Ferreira. His work aims to create interactive tools that make climate data more accessible and engaging for a broader audience, fostering sustainability.
