RELISH

Reframing European Gastronomy Legacy through Innovation Sustainability and Heritage

Summary

RELISH (Reframing European gastronomy Legacy through Innovation, Sustainability and Heritage) is an international project led by Durham that explores how we engage with food culture in a globalised world.

The HORIZON RELISH project will develop a multimedia web platform, conferences, public gastronomic events, and publications on the theme of recipes and gastronomy as a significant part of Europe’s cultural heritage. The project’s ultimate goal is to enhance gastronomy as a fundamental element of an inclusive European identity—one that strengthens social cohesion, supports sustainable practices in the hospitality and food service sectors, and promotes the transmission of the European Union’s cultural heritage through education, public engagement, and policymaker outreach.
