Biography

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) and started my Master’s in Biomedical Engineering in September 2024, with a specialization in Medical Imaging, Biosignal Processing, and Biomedical Instrumentation.

At ITI, I focus on physiological signal analysis applied to biomedical contexts. I currently work as a researcher in the eGamesLab project, where I estimate physiological signals such as heart rate and breathing rate using VR equipment. Previously, I collaborated on the SafeFire project in Instituto de Telecomunicações, developing a wearable to monitor firefighters’ cardiac metrics via Bluetooth or SD card, where I was responsible for processing cardiac signals.
