Biography

Katharina is an Information Scientist, a professional educator and a children’ s books author, illustrator and publisher. She is now a Digital Media PhD student at Tecnico, University Lisbon and also part of the Inclusive Computing Lab at ITI/LARSyS.

Her research interests lie within the fields of Child-Computer Interaction, designing inclusive multi-sensory smart toys and learning environments. She is also concerned about the ethical implications of technology-based research with this particularly vulnerable population. Her work aims to promote inclusion and foster healthy and positive childhood development.
