Biography

Lourenço holds a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa and Instituto Superior Técnico, respectively.

He is currently an Affiliated Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Instituto Superior Técnico and Carnegie Mellon University, under the supervision of Prof. Daniel Simões Lopes, Prof. Manuel Cabido Lopes, and Prof. Levent Burak Kara.

Lourenço’s research sits at the intersection of Computer Graphics and Machine Learning, with a focus on developing optimized solutions for realistic and highly performant physics-based simulations.
