Shuhao is a service and interaction designer who obtained his Master’s Degree in Arts in Design from Tongji University in Shanghai, China. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Digital Media at ITI/LARSyS, Tecnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal, while also serving as an affiliated PhD student at CMU/HCII.
Shuhao’s research interests encompass HCI and design. His research examines how technology affects marginalized working communities in the digital age and how HCI and design can help improve their well-being and promote work justice in the socio-technical context. In addition, he has a sub-research interest in sustainable development, having previously worked in the areas of sustainability and digital social innovation at Tongji prior to his PhD.
