The BIG Era Chair Project is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the first edition of the Lisbon Blockchain Winter School (LxBWS), scheduled to take place at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), from February 10th to 14th, 2025. This initiative, launched and funded by the BIG Era Chair Project, aims to deliver a comprehensive educational program centered on the latest advancements and applications of blockchain technology.
The LxBWS is designed for researchers, PhD students, IT professionals, and blockchain enthusiasts seeking to deepen their understanding of this transformative technology. Participants will benefit from a well-structured curriculum that includes theoretical lectures addressing both fundamental and intermediate topics in blockchain, alongside keynote presentations from leading industry specialists. The program will also incorporate practical hands-on laboratory sessions and engaging poster presentations tailored specifically for PhD students.
Furthermore, the Lisbon Blockchain Winter School will facilitate collaboration and networking opportunities, enabling participants to connect with peers and experts in the blockchain field. The application deadline is set for November 9th, 2024, with notifications of admission to be communicated by November 15th, 2024. Early registration will be available from November 19th to December 2nd, 2024, followed by late registration from December 3rd to 18th, 2024.
