Dina Dionísio

Biography

Dina Dionísio (ITI-LARSyS) holds a Bachelor’s degree in Languages and Business Relations and is based on the beautiful Madeira Island, Portugal. Dina has spent nearly seven years deeply engaged in groundbreaking research projects such as BeanStalk, Memex, and many others, focusing on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Her work has sharpened her User Research and User Experience (UX) design skills, exploring how people interact with technology and understanding the intricate dynamics of user needs and behaviour. In mid-2022, Dina embraced a new challenge as a Project Manager, directing her energy toward managing national and European-level projects. She leads several EU-funded initiatives, including DCitizens, LoGaCulture, Shift2DC, MODINA, and AHEAD. Additionally, she provides essential administrative support for FCT-funded projects like ITI-LARSyS and DCLGP. Dina’s role is crucial in ensuring the smooth execution of projects. She ensures compliance, financial accountability, and effective communication with stakeholders. She supports researchers with administrative, contractual, and financial tasks, assisting them in navigating these aspects of their work. Her journey showcases a combination of technical expertise, strategic oversight, and an understanding of human-technology interaction, making her an essential part of research and project management at ITI.
