Filipa Correia
Biography
Filipa Correia received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Lisbon, Portugal, in 2021. In the past, she was a teaching assistant in the courses of Artificial Intelligence, Multi-Agents Systems, Society and Computing, and Social Robots & Human-Robot Interaction. She had also been part of 2 EU Projects, EMOTE and iv4XR. Her international recognition includes community service as part of a Program Committee (e.g. HRI, AAMAS) and attendance at a Dagstuhl Seminar.
Filipa’s current position at ITI is as an assistant researcher in Human-Robot Interaction. Her multidisciplinary research tackles the intersection of robotics, computer science and social psychology, focusing on teamwork and group dynamics between humans and robots in collaborative scenarios. Recently, Filipa is also interested in exploring the anthropomorphic features of robots and how different embodiments affect human-robot collaborations.
